New plants and old favorites
Why choose our plants?
For home growers, there is only so much space in your garden and those varieties you plant need to count. Tomatoes are one of most beloved vegetables grown every year and once they are in the ground, like all warm season vegetables, that commitment is made. The varieties you choose need to be more than OK - they need to be great.
We are farmers, expert seed savers, and vegetable breeders. We work with chefs and gardeners who love our vegetables. We collaborate with other well-known breeders.
Our seed bank for tomatoes alone is around 2,500 varieties and we have the distinction of saving rare seeds. We save the seed, we grow the vegetables, chefs cook with them and patrons eat amazing meals.
We don’t guess when it comes choosing varieties. We aren’t purchasing seed from catalogs in the spring. Saving seeds is a multi-year, intensive process requiring tremendous time and labor.
We value transparency in agriculture as a cornerstone of our business. Our practices and work reflect the trust our customers place in us. We take this seriously. This is the real deal.
All of our plants are grown by us from start to finish; we do not buy transplants or resell plants.
Our plants are not only grown from seed, but from our own saved seed.
Our varieties are proven taste winners.
Our varieties are extremely rare in almost all cases (especially tomatoes) and not offered elsewhere.
